But this Tutorial (for dummies like me) did the trick. I have seen it done, I have tried to do it in the past on my own (reading the gimp manual online-- can you say "frustrating"... I did over and over) But with your writen explaination, I was able to follow along step by step and for the first time I have been able to cut out an item, make a layer, and put the cut out exactly where I wanted it....
